What I’m focused on Link to heading
Most of my time right now is focused on improving the reliability and maintainability of the systems I work on.
A lot of that comes down to:
- making systems more resilient to failure
- simplifying infrastructure and deployment workflows
- reducing operational friction for teams over time
Less about new tech, more about making things actually work well in practice.
What I’m building Link to heading
-
Local Kubernetes setup (k3s)
Building out a local cluster as a foundation for hosting services and experimenting with infrastructure patterns. -
Personal tooling and workflows
Small tools and systems to make development faster, more repeatable, and less manual. -
This blog
Using writing as a way to think more clearly and document what I’m learning.
What I’m exploring Link to heading
-
AI-assisted development
Especially around structured workflows, planning, and spec-driven approaches. -
Modern SDLC design
What development should look like for small teams if you fully lean into automation and AI. -
Infrastructure tradeoffs
Thinking through when different approaches (containers, orchestration, etc.) actually make sense.
What I’m learning / thinking about Link to heading
- Simplicity scales better than complexity
- Reliability is mostly about handling edge cases well
- Good systems reduce the need for heroics
- Most tooling is optimized for building, not operating
Outside of work Link to heading
Spending more time outside when I can—hiking and getting away from screens.
Also putting more energy into building things that are actually mine.
